Adventure Engagement session at Watersprite Lakelocated near Squamish, British Columbia.
About Watersprite Lake:
The trail is best used from April until October, but if you are hiking up for the beautiful, blue glacier lake view, then I would suggest waiting until July. This was mid-June, but the lake was still frozen and entirely covered under the snow. It is still stunning, however tracking up at this time of the year will give you entirely different experiences.ou are more likely to get the summer lake view during the month of July - Sept. Snowshoe or spikes are recommended for the near end of the trail, as it gets steep and quite slippery as the snow is melting and being frozen again.
It is 17.2 kilometers out and back trail, and I think it took us about 8 hours to complete the whole trip. This is counting the hours spent on stopping multiple times to take the photos on the way up and back, time spent at the top taking photos, and the bit of break time to have lunch and enjoy the view. However, if you wish to stay up there for the night, there is a cabin available - You can make bookings here. Please note that in order to get to the trailhead, 4x4 vehicle with high clearance is recommended. Oh and dogs are allowed on this trail! Bring all the fur adventure buddies yay!
Why we chose Watersprite:
Kasia and Colin are mega outdoor lovers, hence why they moved up to Squamish. They were spending most of their free time traveling up to Squamish from the city to mountain bike, hike, trail run and climb. So instead of traveling up for their free tie, they deiced to settle in the mountains. When Kasia and Colin found out that we share the love for hiking and the mountains, they suggested Watersprite Lake for a day adventure, and I say HECK YAS why not! I was super happy since it was one of the places on my bucket list for hikes, and what a great way to cross it off the list! Plus, the experience becomes so much better with the people who shares the same passion. It was such a lovely day for all of us - Great hike, great photos, great times!
I you are interested in having to document a mountain elopement or adenture sessions in any of the mountains or beautiful outoors of british Columbia, I would love to chat with you! let's see what kind of adventure we can plan :)
