When it comes to crafting a vibrant and joyful wedding, Adrienne and Brandon’s celebration at Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler, BC, was a perfect blend of personal history, community spirit, and relaxed elegance. Their wedding weekend, meticulously planned with the help of Nicola from Andree Events, was a colourful and modern affair with a touch of West Coast flair.
Adrienne and Brandon’s love story began 20 years ago on their first day of high school. Though their teenage romance took a typical detour, they found their way back to each other, blossoming into a lifelong partnership. From navigating a cross-country relationship and university challenges to traveling the world and buying their first home, their journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
The wedding at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre featured three stunning architectural spaces for the ceremony, reception, and dance party. Adrienne’s vision of a colourful and modern aesthetic was brought to life, with paper fans as a unique seating chart and tables named after streets from their childhood neighbourhood. The long-table dinner, inspired by an elevated backyard dinner party, featured incredible table scapes by Flowers and Jules and delicious cuisine by The Collective Kitchen. Guests enjoyed lively conversations, laughter, and wine as they soaked in the late summer sunset.
Adrienne’s wedding dress was a stunning surprise for her bridesmaids, who were used to seeing her in workout gear! The celebration continued with an outdoor dance party before moving indoors for dessert, late-night snacks (dumplings!), and more dancing. Adrienne and Brandon’s wedding was a testament to their enduring love and the vibrant community that has supported them throughout their journey. It was an honour to be part of their special day and to capture the moments that made it unforgettable.
“Henny’s pictures so perfectly capture the candid joy of the day; each photo taking us back to the day’s butterflies, belly laughs, and tears of joy”
